The South Side Story originated as a print publication during South’s opening school year, 2004-2005. It followed a newspaper format similar to the Anchorage Daily News. The South Side Story switched to a paperless format beginning in September of 2008. More recently, the South Side Story went back to a print format with a newsmagazine-style publication in December.

Our goal for the Spring 2010 semester is to offer a combination of print and online publication. More students will be able to get their voice heard through news article and column submissions. The South Side Story will truly become a student publication.
