Contestants Prepare for Mr. Irresistible

Twirling, pivoting, shimmying, and wheel-barrowing through their dance number, the ten contestants of this year’s Mr.Irresistible prove that have no problem expressing who they are.

“I’m 17. I’m 5’11’’ and a half and I’m ridiculously smart and ridiculously good looking,” said senior contestant Jonathan Burns. “I was raised by beavers and my favorite drink is maple syrup.”

Comments like this are not out of the ordinary from South Anchorage’s own male beauty pageant participants. From talking about physique to doing just about anything for a laugh, the contestants ranging from freshmen to seniors embrace the oddity of Mr.Irresistible.
